About
Michelle Sertz Scully is an American artist based in Cleveland, Ohio, who specializes in painting, drawing, and printmaking in a variety of mediums. Her work is often inspired by the nature and architecture of the places and people around her.
Her commissioned work goes beyond capturing the appearance of a subject. Michelle takes the time to understand what makes a person, pet, or place special to the people who know and love it. For her, it’s not just about getting the details right—it’s about capturing what makes the subject meaningful.
Michelle spent more than six years living and working as a professional artist in Brussels, Belgium. While there, she created linocut art featuring local landmarks, taught watercolor at The Green Brush Atelier, and sold her work at local art markets, including the annual NATO Charity Bazaar.
Today, Michelle is particularly inspired by the natural beauty, color, and composition of flowers, as well as the shapes and details she finds in the world around her. She enjoys working across mediums and is always looking for new ways to interpret the subjects that catch her eye.
